Lora Griffith has an academic background in Political Science and International Affairs from studies at the University of Washington in Seattle and Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

Griffith is retired from the Central Intelligence Agency, where she worked for twenty years.  The bulk of her career was spent in Operations. Over the course of her career, she served in five countries on three continents while traveling to numerous others. She specialized in Middle East operations and speaks Farsi.  She also served as a US Naval Reserve intelligence officer reaching the rank of LCDR.

Griffith’s main areas of expertise are related to human intelligence operations, including the recruitment process, vetting, collection management, and analysis. She also has skills in cover, covert action, and world intelligence organizations. Since retiring from the CIA, she volunteers for various charities and has taught courses in Social Studies and American Foreign Relations at the middle and high school level. She is enthusiastic about encouraging a love of learning at all ages and levels.
