This course examines current critical issues in the field of Terrorism and Counterterrorism. It develops advanced analytical and writing skills and provides a basis for dissertation research and writing. It requires the student to research information from other disciplines and integrate it into current research and applied decision making on Terrorism and Counterterrorism.
Evaluate key analytical approaches to how to conduct major research studies.
Synthesize research from outside the Strategic Security discipline to find information, analytical methodologies, and ideas that provide insights into how to research strategic security topics.
Formulate and write research proposals that could be used for grants or dissertation level research studies on national level security or counterterrorism issues that offer solutions and insights and are suitable for publishing.
